One of the most important historical sites in the village
A castle of the 12th century and its military and civil purposes
The historian Al-Nammura mentioned the castle of Al-Burj as one of the most important historical sites in the village. It was built in the twelfth century and was known as a castle.
The castle was also used for military and civil purposes, as a residential place for the French residents. It served as a safe place for them during the wars and a home for the farmers scattered in the nearby agricultural areas.
Most of the history of the castle dates back to the Ottoman era (1838).
